Opened in 1914 and lasting nearly 100 years Robins (The Regal) closed 15th May 2003.
The cinema had it's own orchestra, that played the musical accompaniment to the silent films. It had much competition over the years but won over all the other cinemas that were dotted around camberley.
Unfortunatly Robins is based in an area classed as prime development (and also due to a large fire there) will start coming down shortly.
This place is quite mint inside despite the fire on the other section. strange to see all the seats in near perfect condition. |
