The town of Beelitz is home to a large hospital complex dating back to the 19th century. The hospital was a German military hospital until the end of World War II. In 1945, Beelitz- was occupied by Soviet forces, and remained a Soviet hospital until 1995.

Some of the Hospital is still open but the rest of the complex, including the surgery, the psychiatric wards, and a rifle ranges, etc were abandoned in 2000.

This place is huge and access was walk in. It still has a lot of stuff in there to see including all of the russian literature and the surgery room.

worth a look if in the area, although i think this place is getting ready to be converted. Rumours that someone has bought the land and buildings.
