Hellingly opened in 1903 and continued to serve the local community for the next 90 years, but with so many other asylums a change in policy on the treatment of patients meant closure of the majority of the buildings in 1994.
This place is trashed, but once again, hearing that this place may be gone soon, i thought i would go and have a look. This place is like a giant maze. Got lost so many time down the many identical corridors. Worth a look if your in the area.
